In-Home Care Services in Alabama
Non-medical in-home care in Alabama from a team you can trust as much as family.
At As Close As Family we know how important it is for your loved one to remain independent and comfortable at home. Since 2016, we have served communities across Alabama, offering in‑home caregiving services built on our core values of honesty, compassion, and reliability. We are here to lend a hand, whether daily routines are becoming harder to manage or an unexpected health event calls for extra help.
What Is In‑Home Care?
In‑home care with As Close As Family means non‑medical, personal support provided where ever the client calls “home,” including private residences, assisted living communities and more. We help people maintain independence, improve quality of life, and ensure that daily life is manageable and meaningful. Whether you need help a few hours per week or around the clock, our care plans are customized to meet individual needs.

Our In‑Home Care Services
Here are the specific types of caregiving services we offer as part of our in‑home care:
We can assist with activities of daily living (ADL) such as bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting and incontinence care. Our caregivers are trained to preserve dignity and comfort while offering hands‑on support.
We provide help with light housework including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, laundry, and washing dishes. We also assist with bedroom and bathroom maintenance, trash removal and general tidying to maintain a clean, safe environment.
Proper nutrition is essential. Our caregivers can plan and prepare meals tailored to dietary needs, appetites and preferences. We ensure food safety, balanced nutrition, and assist with feeding if needed.
Our companionship care, or “senior sitter” services, provide meaningful interaction, conversation, and social support throughout the day. Whether it’s sharing a hobby, enjoying a walk, engaging in memory games, or simply offering a steady presence, our caregivers help your loved one feel connected and cared for. Our non-medical sitters are available part-time, full-time, or overnight to help prevent loneliness and offer peace of mind to families.
Family caregivers need rest and support. We provide temporary relief when you need to run errands, travel, rest or take care of other responsibilities. You choose the schedule and duration.
Recovering from surgery or returning home from the hospital or a facility can feel overwhelming. We can assist with wound care, medication reminders, mobility support, follow up appointment coordination, following prescribed at home-stretch routines, recovery planning and more.
For those who require continuous assistance we provide around‑the‑clock support, overnight care, live‑in caregiving or rotating shifts. You can rely on our caregivers morning, day or night.
If your loved one is in assisted living or another facility and you want extra care, we step in. Our caregivers work within the facility setting to offer additional personal care, companionship or oversight.
